Associate Prof Henry Debinski is a consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Endoscopist based at Cabrini Hospital Malvern.

Associate Prof Henry Debinski provides you with outstanding medical care for all your gastrointestinal (GI) concerns. His practice specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases in adults, involving the oesophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver, pancreas, and biliary system. He is experienced in all aspects of gastroenterology, serving as clinician, endoscopist, researcher and as a teacher in the field.

He has a professional, caring approach and is dedicated to providing the best and most appropriate care to each and every patient. Henry has international experience and stays abreast of changes in the dynamic field of gastroenterology.

  • Monash University Medical School
  • Trained as Physician and Gastroenterologist at the Alfred and St. Vincent’s Hospitals Melbourne 
  • Fellowship at the St.Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research  
  • Fellowship at St Mark’s Hospital in London in Gastroenterology including a Senior Research Fellowship in cancer genetics with the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (ICRF). 
  • At Cabrini Health Dr. Debinski was deputy chair of the Human Research and Ethics committee for many years and runs a Gastrointestinal Investigation unit (MGIU) which provides specialised clinical tests and procedures; patient education in inflammatory bowel disease and new therapies in the context of clinical trials.
  • A/Prof Debinski has published extensively and has been involved in research during his entire career. Currently he is a principal investigator in clinical trials in Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
